Visiting DaVero

Our farm is truly an amazing place, breathtaking in its beauty year-round.

We are not open to the general public (it is, after all, our home). But we are open, by appointment, to small groups for focused tastings and tours.

If you’d like to visit, the best thing to do is to or call us at (707) 431-8000 — as far in advance as possible — to discuss cost and schedule. Be sure to talk to Colleen, as she is the keeper of the schedule!

Tastings

These 90-minute sessions are a great way to experience the incredible bounty of our farm. You'll learn first-hand how to evaluate olive oil, as well as learn about and taste all of our delicious products. Tastings cost $40 per person, with a minimum charge of $160, and include a 20% discount on anything you buy or order while you're here.

Tours

We start with a walking tour of the farm, showing you the olive groves, the vineyard, our fruit trees, and more, along with a fascinating discussion of Biodynamic® farming, the history of the farm, and the history of olive oil in America. Then we come back to the house for an extended tasting (see above), including food pairings by Colleen. The cost is $100 per person, with a minimum charge of $400. You and your group will receive a 25% discount on anything you buy or order while you're here.

You should plan on about 2½-3 hours, and be sure to wear comfortable shoes. Since each tour is led personally by both Colleen and Ridge, please contact us well in advance.

Classes

Ultimately, we celebrate food. So we’re excited to offer a wonderful selection of classes.

Colleen had a long and storied career as a professional chef. But she’s very well-grounded in the practical (as the 8th of ten children on a small dairy farm, she had hands-on training). And best of all, she’s a terrific teacher.

These classes are very intimate and hands-on, so you’ll really learn something. The format is the same for each one: we start promptly at 10am, we have lunch together at 1pm, and those who are interested can take a walking tour of the farm afterwards with Ridge.

Weddings

This is a truly idyllic setting for a wedding, one that you and your guests will remember for decades to come.

We only host 2 or 3 weddings each year, and those slots tend to book up well in advance, so please contact us early! It's best to call.
