Co-founder and Chef Colleen McGlynn is revered among her peers for her incredible skills in the kitchen.

She started cooking as the eighth of ten children growing up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin, where she developed a passion for great, simple ingredients. That passion led her all over the world, ultimately landing in the Bay Area where she was one of the early members of the legendary team at Stars. In 1991, she opened her own restaurant in Healdsburg, Samba Java, which became a top destination for area chefs.
